chorus在外刊中的花式用法

昨天，我的新闻小助手照例给我发了几段外媒稿子，我注意到一篇“川普进口俄柴油”的报道中，chorus一词用得很有趣，和大家分享：
原句是这么说的：
Trump is easing American pressure on Russia despite a bipartisan chorus calling for him to do the exact opposite.
两党齐声要求他做完全相反的事，特朗普却在给美国对俄的压力松绑。
chorus 是名词，读 /ˈkɔːrəs/，意思是“合唱、齐声”，英文解释是 a group of people who say the same thing at the same time, or the sound they make together。
它最早是指古希腊戏剧里的歌队，一群人“齐声唱、齐声说”；后来引申成“一片相同的声音”——批评声、要求声、抗议声，都叫 chorus。中文里有个词和它完美对应，叫异口同声。中文里有个词和它完美对应，叫“异口同声”。
常见搭配有：
a chorus of criticism（一片批评声）
join the chorus（加入这股声浪）
in chorus（异口同声地）
文中 a bipartisan chorus calling for him to do the exact opposite 的意思是：两党齐声要求他做完全相反的事。
我们来看几个例句：
在公共政策话题里，我们可以用这个结构来表示一致的声音、观点：
The proposal drew a chorus of criticism from teachers and parents alike.
这项提案引来教师和家长的一片批评。
最近温州那对夫妻花 67.3 万元买劳力士、店员报警的事上了热搜，这个场景也可以用到这个词：
The case set off a chorus of warnings about scams that turn cash into watches and then ship them abroad.
这起案子引出一片警告声：诈骗正把现金换成手表，再寄到境外。
电影《乱世佳人》里那句歌词里用到了chorus 的本义——合唱段：
So we sing the chorus from Atlanta to the sea.
于是我们从亚特兰大一路唱到海边。
